Star Cats in Ginza
Ginza is known as an upscale area of Tokyo with numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and cafe. The main road was closed on Sunday and turned into a shopping arcade.

People take photographs of cats placed on a street sign by an unidentified owner on a street.

The cats, one full grown and three kittens, were precariously perched upon the street name blade, decked out in frilly collars, just sitting in the sun, being admired by the hustle and bustle of hundreds of paparazzis.

You may meet them here.

Kyushu Shinkansen CM received Cannes Lions awards 2011
The Kyushu Shinkansen is a high-speed railway line between Fukuoka and Kagoshima in Kyushu. The southern 127 km opened on 13 March 2004. The northern 130 km section opened on 12 March 2011, although opening ceremonies were canceled due to the earthquake and tsunami.

The commercial recently began airing once again, and has been getting plenty of online love for its uplifting message of national solidarity.

The spot was shot from inside the bullet train after JR had recruited 15,000 people around the country to stand alongside the train's route, for possible inclusion in the spot. It features the song "Boom," by Japanese-Swedish singer Maia Hirasawa.

Those gathered became individual media, encouraging their neighbours to participate, who would then do the same with their neighbours and so on. Everyone participated for free. Over 2 hours of TV coverage, coverage in all of Kyushu’s newspapers, Kyushu Shinkansen special tickets sold out in 15 seconds.
