Bape（ベイプ） (short for A Bathing Ape) is a Japanese clothing company founded by fashion designer and DJ Tomoaki "Nigo（ニゴ）" Nagao in 1993.
The company specializes in streetwear, operating a number of stores in Japan, and relocated its Bape Store Tokyo Harajuku in January, 2008.

Bape is well known for the unique and colorful hoodies it produces. These hoodie designs are creative, and usually feature camouflage in some part of the fabric pattern. The Bape brand is hugely popular with rap and hip-hop(ラップ＆ヒップホップ） stars, with the most popular clothing items being Bape hoodies and sweatshirts. They have been heavily criticized in the past for being rather expensive considering the quality and design, with costs direct from the store being upwards of $200 – 300. (wikipedia)
